India conducted the first nuclear-capable ballistic missile launch of the year on 2 January with Agni IV missiles. The successful flight trial took place at India’s eastern coast of Odisha. Designed by India’a Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Agni IV has a range of 4 thousand kilometers.
The country also recently launched an indigeniously developed Agni V last week on Monday, which has more than 5 thousand-kilometer operational range.
