The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) Board of Directors held a meeting yesterday after the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş and affected many cities. At the meeting held under the Presidency of Defense Industries and chaired by DIA President İsmail Demir, it was reported that defence industry companies were alert for aid activities.
In the post shared on the social media account of TAFF, it was emphasized that “In the meeting of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation Board of Directors after the earthquake centred in Kahramanmaraş and affecting many provinces of our country, our defence industry companies, especially TAFF affiliates, were vigilant for post-earthquake relief activities. It was stated that the necessary coordination was provided by AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency), and it was stated that the defence industry is at the disposal of the field teams with all their capabilities and technologies to support search and rescue activities, and in this sense, the necessary equipment shipment to the field has begun. We wish God’s mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, a speedy recovery to our wounded, patience, and health to their relatives.
