Iran has announced it is testing a new short-range “smart” missile capable of reaching up to 300km. It was reported that the accuracy of the ammunition’s strike and destruction was tried. Information on where the shooting test was conducted was not shared. It is said that the missile can be used operationally in all weather conditions.
General Kioumars Haydari, commander of the Ground Forces, said they were trying to make the weapons automatic, smart and accurate.
At the same time as Iran announced the missile test, it was soon announced that a joint exercise with Russia would be held in the northern part of the Indian Ocean.
Tehran recently introduced several new munitions and equipment, including the Bavar 373 and Khordad-3 missile systems.
