Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar revealed on 14 February that a second production line for indigenious Tejas fighters. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's single engine aircraft, developed to reduce dependency on foreign sources, entered service last year. Parrikar added that approximately $204 million investment has been approved for this project, aiming to boost the production of the indigenous fighter in order to meet the air force's requirements.
