Pakistan Navy has officially taken delivery of seven refurbished Westland Sea King helicopters from the UK on 24 May. the formal handing over ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK Syed Ibne Abbas, the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s representative Christopher Bob Richardson and Pakistan Navy officials.
The relevant contract was signed last year. Sea King helicopters are used in missions such as search-and-rescue, troop transport, anti-submarine warfare and anti-ship warfare.
