Saudi Arabia’s E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft has undergone the Radar System Improvement Program (RSIP) of Northrop Grumman company. Boeing announced Northrop's upgrade has been completed, enhancing the technological capabilities of the aircraft to a great extent. The upgrades covers a new radar computer, a radar control maintenance panel and electrical and mechanical software and hardware.
RSIP package has also been delivered to the US, UK, NATO and French AWACS fleets.
