Russian Helicopters will test its Kamov Ka-226T ‘Hoodlum-C’ in Iran. According to the company's announcement on 9 August, the platform’s performance in ambient temperatures of up to 50 Celcius degrees will be evaluated during the testing programme.
Ka-226T light utility helicopter boasts a modular design and can be delivered in a variety of modifications. Powered by two Turbomeca Arrius 2G1 turboshaft engines, the platform has a maximum take-off weight of 3 thousand 600 kg and can operate day and night, in regular and adverse weather conditions, over land or expanses of water, and also in high winds.
