May 11, 2017Rolls-Royce, Kale Group Partnered for TF-X Engine
Rolls-Royce is partnering with Türkish Kale Group for Turkey's National Combat Aircraft (TF-X) project. The companies established a joint venture, called TAEC Uçak Motor Sanayi A.Ş., with 51 percent belonging to Kale Group. TAEC will develop civillin and military engines, TF-X engine being in the first place. The signing ceremony took place on 8 May in Istanbul. Kale Group Vice President Osman Okyay and Rolls-Royce Defence and Aviation Group President Chris Cholerton attended the signing ceremony.
