VESTEL Defence presented an armed version of KARAYEL unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) KARAYEL-SU at the 13th International Defense Industry Fair.

The armed UAV, developed entirely indigenously, has carried out its first flight with live-firing in 2016. Subsequently, the wingspan of the platform was increased from 10,5 meters to 13 meters in order to improve payload capacity. The endurance of the UAV also increased from 16 hours to 20 hours. The platform has an ammunition capacity of 120 kg via its four pods.

VESTEL offers KARAYEL-SU to the export market, as well as domestic customers.
