The UK Royal Navy is in talks with Brazil for the sales of HMS Ocean for $100,5 million. Commissioned in september 1998, the Plymouth-based helicopter carrier has a displacement of 21 thousand 500 tons. HMS Ocean is the UK’s only helicopter carrier and the fleet flagship of the Royal Navy, designed to support amphibious landing operations. In November 2015, the UK's Ministry of Defence confirmed that HMS Ocean is to be decommissioned in 2018.
