Raytheon demonstrated its AN/SPY-6(V) active electronically scanned array air and missile defence radar's (AMDR) capabilities during the missile defence exercise at the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). The AN/SPY-6(V) is designed to increase situational awareness and to reduce reaction time during combat and is planned to replace SPY-1D radars on new Aegis warships.
