Australia Revealed Candidates for Future Frigate Project

Australia released the Request for Tender (RFT) for Future Frigate project to three shortlisted companies; BAE, Fincantieri and Navantia. Australian Ministry of Defence will announce the awarded company in 2018. BAE offers the Type 26 Frigates and Fincantieri, FREMM Frigates while Navantia plans to submit a redesigned F100 for the $35 billion project.

The Future Frigates are the next generation of naval surface combatants and would conduct maritime and anti-submarine warfare operations.
