Qatar, which has recently signed important procurement agreements, is about to complete the attack helicopter acquisition process.

Boeing, one of the leading defence and aviation companies of the USA, announced that the manufacturing process has been finished in Qatar AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. Within the scope of the activities carried out at the company's facility in Mesa, Arizona, the test flights of the platforms were also completed. It is stated that all helicopters are in the Version 6 configuration; the most advanced AH-64E Apache variant.

Qatar signed an agreement with the United States costs 3 billion US Dollars for 24 helicopters last year. In this context, besides four spare T700-GE-701D engines, 2,500 AGM-114R Hellfireand 25 Hellfire captive air training missiles; high amount of 2,75-inch Hydra rockets and 30 mm cannon ammunition will reach the country.

The first batch of AH-64E Apache was handed over to the Qatar in last March.
