According to a Russian newspaper, Izvestia, production of upgraded Su-34 bombers will begin in 2020. Upgraded aircraft will be able to carry new weapons while incorporating improved electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems. According to Izvestia, the upgrades are a result of Russia's lessons from Syria.
