The 2021 calendar prepared by the Russian Ministry of Defence included the first photo of the reconnaissance and attack version of the Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Orion UAV, equipped with a KAB-20 bomb.

The KAB-20, which will be used for the destruction of light armoured vehicles and enemy troops, weighs 21 kilograms. The maximum take-off weight of the UAV, which is painted in desert camouflage on the calendar, is 1 ton. The maximum useful load capacity of the platform is 200 kilograms and the maximum flight duration is 24 hours.

Orion UAV’s first mass production contract was signed at Army-2020 between the Ministry of Defence and Kronshtadt Group.
