Participating companies for the serial production tender of Altay Main Battle Tank will submit their second Best And Final Offers (BAFO) today.  Undersecretariat for Defence Industries (SSM) requested the BAFOs to be submitted on 8 February 2018 however decided to request a second BAFO on 5 March 2018 due to pricing issues. In the process, it was foreseen that SSM would implement separate price negotiations with companies determined to be obligatory subcontractors in the Request for Proposal document. When the process could not be completed on time, the BAFO submitting date has been postponed to 9 March. OTOKAR, FNSS and BMC companies are expected to submit their offers today.
