New Zealand Certified The First Leased Aircraft

The Royal New Zealand Air Force's (RNZAF's) first leased Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft has been certified for use, the Ministry of Defence announced on 10 May. New Zealand leased a total of four King Air 350s and the remaining aircraft will be delivered progressively into 2019. 

The new aircraft will replace RNZAF's King Air 200 platforms. The aircraft will be used for pilot training and two of the four King Air 350s will be configured to support maritime surveillance operations. 

The King Air 350 is a multi-mission, twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and manufactured by Beechcraft Augsburg, a subsidiary of Textron Aviation.
