Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) will unveil an upgraded variant of its Tavor assault rifle, the Tavor 7 AR, at the Defence and Security Exhibition Thailand 2017 to be held on 6 November. 

Manufactured from an impact-modified polymer, the Tavor 7 AR features a short-stroke gas piston operating system with a four-position variable gas regulator. The company offers rifles with different replaceable barrel lengths (17 and 20 inches) to suit mission requirements. Weighing 4,1 kg unloaded, Tavor 7 is claimed to have a 600-meter range.
