Open General Export License was issued to allow material, software and technology transfer from the UK to be used in the National Combat Aircraft Project (TF-X) of Turkey. Authorities made a statement to the Anadolu Agency, announced that a  milestone is behind in the TF-X Project.

In the TF-X Project, which is to be designed and manufactured with maximum capacity of domestic capability to meet the modern needs of of Turkish Armed Forces.  The aircrafts will have start to replace platforms which are currently in Turkish Air Forces use in 2020.
