The United States hosts the annual Red Flag exercise. The exercise is based at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
During the exercises, new images of the country’s mysterious bomber, the B-2 Spirit, were also captured. Developed by Northrop Grumman, the strategic bomber has an exterior that does not emit electromagnetic waves.
About $44 billion was spent on the development of the air platform, the front and rear parts of which are powered by titanium. The aircraft was developed to carry conventional or nuclear weapons.
The B-2 Spirit was also used for military operations in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.
