The US Army is in pursuit of an electronic warfare system to be integrated on Gray Eagle unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the service's request for information (RFI) issued last week, the system will consist of Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tool (EWPMT), the Multi-Function Electronic Warfare (MFEW) capability and the Defensive Electronic Attack (DEA) capability. The RFI also states that MFEW should have “open standards” in order to re-use across all the MFEW air variants. The Army expects hardware deliveries to begin 18 months after contract award to begin qualification testing and integration.
