The Chilean Navy will modernize its Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer aircraft. Lifetime extension program aims to extend the life span of aircraft until 2030s. The PC-7s in us of the Chilean Navy since 1978.

In the statement made at the FIDAE 2018 Fair, it was reported that the decision to supply new platforms in place of the seven currently serviced aircraft was followed by a decision to modernize, which was a more cost effective “resume” solution with PC-7s. After modernization, PC-7s will last for 40 years and will be cost-effective.
