The US Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) has tested a newly developed miniature missile desgined to take down unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with a single shot. During the demonstration conducted in December last year, 'Spike' lightweight precision guided missile tested its proximity fuze supplied by the US Navy. Spike was designed to provide a cost-effective weapon that could counter emerging UAV threats.
