MiG-29 Deliveries To Belgrade Began

Russia started delivery of the secondhand MiG-29 fighter jets to Serbia on Monday. Moscow is to deliver a total of six MiG-29 aircraft to Belgrade free of charge, however the country is to spend an estimated cost of $236 million for the upgrade and overhaul work on the aircraft. 

The deliveries are scheduled to be completed by 20 October. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Monday that in addition to the aircraft, the country will boost its anti-aircraft defence and currently in negotiations regarding the purchase of the Russian-made S-300 systems.
