The National Vertical Launch Launcher System (MIDLAS), manufactured by Roketsan, successfully passed the first firing test. In the test, the HISAR missile was fired.

Head of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir and the Ministry of National Defence shared the announcement on their social media accounts. It was also stated in the post that MİDLAS will be integrated into the ISTANBUL frigate in 2023 and delivered to the Naval Forces Command.

Demir made these statements in his sharing: “We are laying the foundation stones of our air defense systems that will be fired from our warships. In the first test of the National Vertical Launch Launcher System MIDLAS, the HİSAR missile was successfully fired. In 2023, it will be integrated into the ISTANBUL frigate and will enter the DzKK inventory!”
