ASELSAN is utilizing its capabilities by taking an active role with the cost-effective solutions developed in the modernization of the Mi-series helicopters up to 10.000 worldwide, especially in the Gulf countries and Turkish Republics. For this purpose, one Mi-17 helicopter was modernized for demonstration purposes with and delivered to the end user with ASELSAN indigenous products. It was not revealed to which country the delivery was made.
Within the scope of mentioned modernization realized in ASELSAN facilities in accordance with customer needs, ASELSAN indigenously developed products; Multi-Function Displays, Keyboard Display Unit, Inertial Navigation System, Mission Computer, Digital Moving Map System, Internal Communication System, V / UHF and HF Radios have been integrated to the platform and, the helicopter's mission ability has been significantly increased.
After the modernization for the purpose of demonstration, it is expected that the modernization activities of other Mi-series helicopters in the inventory of the country concerned will be started soon.
