IDEAS 2022 Fair, which has become a meeting point in the defence industry sector, especially with the Armed Forces of Asian countries, will be held this year in Karachi, Pakistan on 15-18^th November 2022. Meteksan Defence will also participate in the fair with the products it has developed. YAKAMOS 2020 Hull Mounted Sonar System which was exported to Pakistan for the first time is among the products to be exhibited at the fair.

Selçuk Kerem Alparslan, General Manager of Meteksan Defence, said in his statement about participation in the fair: “As you know, we exported our YAKAMOS 2020 Carina Mounted Sonar System, which is the further developed version of YAKAMOS, the national sonar of our national pride MILGEM Corvettes, to Pakistan for the first time. I believe that the success of YAKAMOS 2020, which will soon start working with Pakistan MILGEM Corvettes, is of great importance for our company and our country. Thanks to IDEAS 2022 Fair, we will be exhibiting our MERT and MERTER products for the first time in an international fair. As Meteksan Defence, we carry out very important studies on Electronic Warfare. We expect MERTER, the first fruit of our efforts, to enter the Turkish Armed Forces inventory in the near future. Especially the recent conflicts in the world showed us once again how critical the issue of Electronic Warfare is for all countries. For this reason, I believe that especially MERT and MERTER will attract the attention of the delegations at the IDEAS fair.’’

Also, emphasizing the importance of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and missile subsystems to be exhibited at the fair, Alparslan continued his words as follows: “Finally, I can say that the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and missile subsystems that we will exhibit at the IDEAS 2022 Fair are also among very critical issues. Due to their nature, these platforms are among the critical technologies both as a product and with their subsystems. Many countries do not share these critical technologies with other countries or do so under very strict rules and restrictions. Meteksan Defence acts with a sharing policy based on strategic cooperation for the use of these solutions, which it has developed completely locally and nationally, on the platforms of friendly and allied countries.’’
