There has been a critical change in the Chinese company's Turkey strategies, who had begun contract negotiations with the Turkish Undersecreteriat for Defence Industry (SSM) regarding Turkey's long range missile defence programme (T-LORAMIDS). Chinese defence giant China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corporation (CPMIEC) shut down Turkey office. The last representative of the company will leave Turkey at the beginning of next week. 

Turkey decided to initiate contract negotiations with the company in 2013, however the programme was cancelled in 2016. The company offerred the export version of HQ-9, the FD-2000 system. Under the programme, The US-made Patriot, Russian-made S-400, Italian-French joint production Eurosam Samp-T have competed. 

Turkey continues negotiations for S-400 acquisition with Russia at the moment.
