The US announced that it received the first batch of LRASM missile. How many missiles delivered within first batch is not disclosed.

US announced its early operational capability acquisition with deliveries. LRASM systems, which were delivered to the US Air Force first, will be delivered to the US Navy from next year.

The Air Force will use missiles on B-1B strategic bombers. A B-1B Lancer can carry 24 missiles in its internal weapons bay. Navy will use the missile on F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet aircraft.

JASSM is developed from Lockheed Martin AGM-158 JASSM, has an effective range of 560 kilometres. It weighs 1100 kilogram and designed with reduced radar cross section area shape. Subsonic missile has sub-components such as multi-mode sensor, gun data link, jam-resistant GPS, which is equipped with 450 kilograms blast fragmentation warhead.
