Recently a trilateral AUKUS agreement recently signed between the US, UK and Australia. Under the agreement Australia will procure different long-range missiles.
With this procurement, Australia wants to increase its long-range attack capability in the air, on land and at sea.
Within the scope of the agreement, BGM-109 Tomahawk for Hobart class destroyers in the Australian inventory and AGM-158B JASSM-ER and AGM-158C LRASM for F/A-18F Super Hornet and F-35A Lightning II aircraft in the inventory will be procured.
