December 7, 2022Lockheed Martin Australia Signs Memorandum of Understanding with UNSW Canberra Space
Lockheed Martin Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra Space to contribute to a comprehensive space education program through research and development (R&D) and industry engagement pathways.
This landmark two-year agreement, which will support the deep collaboration between Lockheed Martin Australia and UNSW Canberra Space, represents part of Australia’s commitment to develop the skills and training opportunities it needs to strengthen and diversify its future space workforce.
Lockheed Martin’s Space Education Institute is expected to be an important building block of the program, allowing knowledge and experience to be shared with students. This coverage also offers the opportunity to train, teach and receive mentorship from Lockheed Martin Australia Fellows.
David Ball, Regional Director of Space, Lockheed Martin Australia shared his thoughts on the program with these expressions: ‘’ Lockheed Martin Australia has a long and enduring history in space.
