The US Navy’s Independence-class littoral combat ship, the future USS Manchester (LCS 14), has successfully completed acceptance trials.
In addition to verifying its propulsion plant, ship-handling abilities and auxiliary systems, the tests also demonstrated the vessel’s manoeuvrability through high-speed steering.
The LCS 14 will be homeported in San Diego.
