India gave start to the Indo-Russian Krivak class (Project 1135) frigate project, which was inked in October 2016. The basic structure of two frigates has already been completed in Russia while two new frigates to be constructed under $4 billion project will be constructed at Indian shipyards, most probably at India's Goa Shipyard. Krivak class frigates will be fitted with the BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles.
