The Indonesian Navy’s KRI Nanggala 402 submarine was reported missing on Wednesday (April 21st) during an exercise north of Bali.
Australia, Singapore and the United States have sent support to the search for the missing submarine. Australia has also sent two different ships to the region.
According to the Navy, an object with “strong magnetic resonance” was detected at a depth of 50 – 100 meters. Local media reported that the submarine may have disappeared about 60 miles off the coast of Bali.
There are 53 crew members on the platform; Authorities, meanwhile, are warning that the oxygen in KRI Nanggala 402 will run out within 24 hours.
