Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has released new concept images of the armed variant of the MUH-1 helicopter developed for the Marine Corps.
Equipped with a guided missile, air-to-air missile, 70 mm rocket and 20 mm weapon, the armed MUH-1 Marineon general purpose helicopter has amphibious feature.
The aircraft, which has an integrated floating system, additional fuel tank and customized radio equipment, can be deployed on Dokdo-class amphibious assault ships.
The Republic of Korea is in the process of purchasing 24 helicopters for the Marine Corps.
