Korean Air will deliver a hybrid drone prototype for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea. The UAV, which has internal burn and electric motors, stays in the air for about two hours more than its counterparts, according to the firm's statement. The battery of the platform also functions as a secondary power supply in case the engine malfunctions.
Korean Air, which began working for the drone in 2016, did not specify how many platforms it will deliver to the Armed Forces. The platforms will be delivered for testing purposes.
The drone, which reaches a maximum speed of 72 km /h, can reach a height of 500 meters.
