Norway-based company Kongsberg will mount and test the RT60 UKSS (Remote Controlled Tower System) on the Boxer vehicle, upon the request of a customer from abroad.
Boxer is a modular vehicle family that is already in the inventory of many countries.
The RT60 is the Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) variant of the PROTECTOR family.
The system includes systems that improve situational awareness, firepower and armor protection, such as an Anti-Tank Guided Missile launcher, independent weapon station, laser warner system, Trophy MV active protection system and the Catherine Ez thermal imaging system developed by Thales.
