Indra will supply the Spanish Army’s Airmobile Force (Army Airmobile Force / Fuerzas Aeromóviles del Ejército de Tierra / FAMET) – CH-47F Chinook helicopters with Talium, one of the currently existing advanced mission planning systems designed to greatly increase the efficiency and safety of helicopters operating in complex scenarios. A total of 15 million Euros contract was awarded to Indra by the Directorate General of Armaments and Material (DGAM).

From an operational standpoint, the system supports decision-making by helping identify the units, resources, and logistical support needed to run the operation, regardless of size and complexity. It also lists the actions to be completed and defines the hierarchical structure. Talium is a ready-to-install system in different configurations in command-and-control centres and field-deployed centres.

The solution can also be integrated into the battlefield management system (BMS), national and NATO command and control systems, air defence systems, IFF and simulators. Spanish Tiger and NH90 helicopters are already using this advanced Indra system, which demonstrates superior capabilities in conflict zones. Integration into the Chinook CH47F is expected to multiply the benefits when it comes to managing collaborative and multi-platform tasks.
