The Indian Navy (IN) retired its fleet of Tupolev Tu-142M long-range maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft on 29 March. Tu-142Ms entered service with the IN in 1988. The aircraft is powered by four Samara Kuznetsov NK-12MP turboprop engines, providing a range of 13-thousand kilometer range without refuelling.
