Embraer has signed a strategic service agreement covering maintenance, logistics, and technical support to ensure the operational continuity of the Hungarian Air Force’s C-390 Millennium fleet.
Embraer announced that it has entered into a new contract to support the Hungarian Air Force’s multi-mission aircraft fleet. Under this agreement, the company will provide comprehensive maintenance and technical support to Hungary by leveraging its service network in Europe.
Fleet Delivery Completed
As of November 2025, Hungary took delivery of both C-390 Millennium aircraft it had ordered, strengthening its position as the second operator within NATO. It was announced that the first Hungarian aircraft, which entered service in late 2024, has achieved a mission completion rate of over 99 percent in the operations conducted to date.
“Sustainable Operational Excellence”
Douglas Lobo, Vice President of Customer Support and Aftermarket Sales at Embraer Services & Support, stated that they are committed to establishing sustainable operational excellence through comprehensive support services. Lobo also added that Hungary has demonstrated the aircraft’s reliability in a short period of time.
Multi-Role Mission Capability
The next-generation C-390 platforms are capable of performing a wide range of missions, including medical evacuation, humanitarian aid, search and rescue, cargo and troop transport, and air-to-air refueling. Hungary’s aircraft stand out from other operators by being equipped with a world-first modular roll-on/roll-off medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
