Finland Ministry of Defence confirmed on Friday the acquisition of South Korean self-propelled howitzers. 48 K9 Thunder 155 mm self-propelled howitzers formerly belonged to Seoul’s army has been provided under a $155 million contract. Deliveries are scheduled to complete in 2024, covering all 48 systems. New howitzers will repllace Finnish Army's Soviet-era artillery systems.
