Gripen E tests continues with full speed.. Recently, the aircraft completed the external load-release tests.
Trials were carried out at the Vidsel Test Area in the north of Sweden. During the tests, an IRIS-T air air missile was released then launched from the aircraft and one external fuel tank was jettisoned. Saab said that the test results were in line with expectations. With the release of the external fuel tank, the experiments were one step closer to the result.
