Chineese state-owned aircraft manufacturer Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) has completed the engine tests of its AG600 amphibious aircraft and plans to conduct its maiden flight before the end of June this year, announced on Tuesday. One of the largest amphibious aircraft built so far, AG600 has a length of 36,9 mt with 38,8 m wingspan. The aircraft has a maximum flight range of 4,500 km and a maximum take-off weight of 53,5 tonnes. Amphibious AG600 was designed for aerial firefighting and search and rescue operations.
