Ghana wants to buy 6 L39NG aircraft worth 132 million US Dollars from Czech company Aero Vodochody.
Ghana’s Ministry of Defense is awaiting parliamentary approval for the procurement deal.
L-39NG aircraft are the modernized version of the L-39 aircraft, which made its first flight in 1968, in accordance with today’s requirements.
The L-39NG jet trainer, with a maximum take-off weight of 5800 kg, uses the FJ44-4M turbofan engine developed by Williams International.
