Russia commissioned advanced Tor-M2U (NATO reporting name: SA-15 Gauntlet) surface-to-air missile systems, according to Russia’s Western Military District press office statement released on Wednesday. The systems have entered into service with the 1st Guards Tank Army. Following the ongoing training of the combat crews, the air defense systems will assume combat duty in the Moscow Region.
Tor-M2U is a high mobility, multipurpose, all-weather tracked anti-aircraft missile system.
