FNSS Exhibit MAV with CAKA RWS in INDO DEFENCE 2022

FNSS, which will participate in the “Indo Defense Expo & Forum 2022” to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, is preparing to exhibit the MAV together with the CAKA Remote Controlled Tower (RWS).

FNSS, which will attend the Indo Defense Expo & Forum 2022 fair to be held in Indonesia on 2-5th November, will exhibit the MAV (Marine Assault Vehicle) together with the CAKA Remote Controlled Tower (RWS) at its stand numbered Hall A-A005a. Additionally, within the scope of the Defense Industry Cooperation signed between Turkey and Indonesia, KAPLAN MT (HARIMAU), which was jointly developed by FNSS and PT Pindad, will take part in the Military Live Screening that will be held in the open area of the fair.

MAV is a latest technology amphibious vehicle developed by FNSS, considering the needs of amphibious landing unities. MAV, which could take the distance between the ship and the shore in the fastest way during an amphibious landing operation, During the landing phase of the operation, it can land from the landing ships with docked dock and cover the distance at high speed, enabling the unities to land in a short time under protection and with fire support.

The vehicle has four different configurations: Personnel Carrier, Command Vehicle, Rescue Vehicle and Mine Gate Opening Vehicle. In addition, the hull design to reduce resistance in the water and powerful water jets give MAV high mobility at sea with a maximum speed of 7 knots. On the other hand, MAV with CAKA RWS, the remote-controlled tower system developed by FNSS, HAVE high firepower with a 12.7 mm machine gun and 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

In addition, KAPLAN MT, which was developed within the scope of the project signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Indonesian Ministry of Defense with an interstate agreement, will take place in the live demonstration of the Indonesian Army on Wednesday, 2nd November in the open area of the Indo Defense Fair.

FNSS completed the production of the first batch of vehicles with mass production configuration in the project carried out under the cooperation agreement. While 10 tank platforms manufactured at FNSS facilities were shipped to Indonesia for final turret assembly, the parts, and subsystems of the remaining 8 tanks, whose production was started at PT Pindad facilities, were shipped to Indonesia as tool kits.

Production of the vehicles is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2023.

The KAPLAN MT comes out as Turkey’s first vehicle to be exported in the Tank Class.
