The Sea Acceptance Trials of Australia’s first-of-class Aegis-equipped Air Warfare Destroyer HMAS Hobart has been completed. The trials tested the ability of the platform to support the combat system, including Aegis system operations in an at-sea environment. The Hobart Class destroyers are being built under Australia’s SEA 4000 program, and will see three vessels delivery by the end of 2019.
