LCA Tejas (Light Combat Aircraft), developed by indigenously, has left an important milestone behind. According to Indian officials, the platform is the SP-21 model, which is the Final Operational Clearance (FOC) standard. There are some improvements in this model compared to the predecessor LCA prototypes. These improvements include the air-to-air refueling, beyon the visual range missile system and in the manufacturing improvements made in line with the feedback from the field. If the tests of the FOC platform are completed successfully, India plans to order 15 Tejas for the next fiscal year.
