Turkish Minister of National Defence Fikri Işık shared a video of the prototype engine as part of TEI's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) engine development project from his official twitter account on 1 January. Previously, Turkish Undersecretary for Defence Industries, Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir tweeted the same news on his own account. The project, signed on 27 December 2012, covers the development turbodiesel engines according to the requirements of Medium Altitude, Long Endurance (MALE) class UAV.
