Chinook Block 2 Gathers Speed

The US Army approved Milestone B for the CH-47F/MH-47G Chinook Block 2 on 5 April, opening the way to Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. The EMD contract is now expected to be signed in the next few weeks, leading to the Milestone C low-rate initial production (LRIP) in 2021 with the first deliveries starting by 2023. Boeing has not disclosed the details of Block 2 configuration.
